Aichi, the Japanese aerial-work-platform manufacturer, is common in Australian utility fleets through its truck-mounted units, including insulated devices built for work on and near live electrical apparatus. As an independent specialist we keep that plant compliant, giving particular attention to the insulated components that protect electrical crews at height alongside the usual boom and chassis systems.
We are not an Aichi dealer or authorised service agent, and we will not imply otherwise. Our role is impartial inspection, dielectric and electrical testing, repair, NDT and load testing to the Australian Standards. Utility platforms live a hard working life, and an honest assessment of both structure and insulation is what keeps crews safe.

Inspection & Service Notes
- On an insulated Aichi, the dielectric boom sections and liners see their insulating performance fall away with age, contamination and knocks, so they are cleaned, inspected and electrically tested instead of being assumed sound.
- Because Aichi truck-mounted units depend on their outriggers and levelling, we check leg operation, foot pads and stability interlocks before any work at height.
- The chassis interface and the sub-frame that ties the aerial device to its host vehicle are assessed as part of every truck-mounted inspection.
- The testing interval for the dielectric system is set by the applicable standard and Aichi's requirements for that unit and its rating, not by an interval we would guess at.

Are you an authorised Aichi dealer or service agent?
No. We are an independent specialist. We inspect, service, repair, dielectric-test and certify Aichi equipment, but we hold no dealership or authorised-agent status with Aichi. Our reporting is impartial as a result.
Can you dielectric-test an Aichi insulated unit?
Yes. Where an Aichi unit is insulated we coordinate periodic dielectric and electrical testing of the boom sections, liners and components, verified against the applicable standard and manufacturer requirements and documented for your records.
How often does an Aichi insulated unit need electrical testing?
How frequently testing is due depends on the applicable standard and Aichi's own requirements for that unit and its insulation rating — not a set figure we would make up. Call 0416 689 689 and we will confirm the right regime for your machine.
Do you handle Aichi 10-year major inspections?
Yes. When an Aichi unit reaches ten years we coordinate the strip-down, NDT and recertification required under the AS 2550.10 framework, including the chassis interface and, where fitted, the insulated components.
