Equipment Finance Calculator

Financing a boom lift, scissor lift or cherry picker turns a large one-off purchase into a monthly repayment, and the size of that repayment decides whether a machine pays for itself. This equipment finance calculator does the standard amortisation arithmetic once you supply the numbers from your own lender's quote — the amount financed, the annual interest rate you've been offered, the term, and any balloon or residual left at the end.

Nothing is pre-filled with an assumed rate, because the only rate that matters is the one your bank or broker has actually quoted you. Enter your figures and the tool returns the monthly repayment, the total interest over the term, the total amount repaid and the balloon due at the end. It's a general calculation to help you plan, not financial advice or a finance offer. If you're weighing up a machine to put behind those repayments, call 0416 689 689.

The Detail

How This Works & Assumptions

The calculation is a standard amortising loan. The annual rate you enter is divided by twelve to get a monthly rate, then spread across the number of months in the term so that each repayment is equal. Where you've entered a balloon or residual, that lump sum is treated as still owing at the end of the term, so it's carved out of the amount the regular repayments have to clear and then added back as the final balloon.

Assumptions: repayments are monthly and equal, the rate stays fixed for the whole term, and no establishment fees, account fees, insurance, GST treatment or early-payout costs are included — real finance contracts often add these, so your actual repayment can differ. The balloon is entered as a percentage of the amount financed and falls due in one payment at the end. The interest rate is never assumed here; it comes only from the quote your own bank or broker has given you.

This is a general calculation to help you plan and is not financial advice, a credit quote or a finance offer. We are an independent EWP inspection and sales specialist, not a lender — always confirm the exact figures with your finance provider.
