Fleet Asset Register Generator
A tidy plant asset register is the document tender assessors, auditors and new clients ask for first — a single list of every machine you own with its make, model, serial or fleet number, family and inspection status. This free builder lets you enter each row in your browser and turn it into a proper register you can export as a CSV or print, so you're not rebuilding the same spreadsheet from scratch for every submission.
It's aimed at councils, government fleets, EWP and MEWP owners, crane businesses, Level 2 ASP electrical contractors, arborists and trades who need the register itself as a deliverable. Everything runs on your device and nothing is uploaded. This tool produces the register document — if you also want to keep an eye on when inspections fall due, pair it with our Fleet Compliance Tracker, and call 0416 689 689 when you're ready to book the work.
Add A Machine
Your asset register is empty
Add each machine above to build a register you can export as a CSV or print for a tender or audit. It all happens in your browser — no account, no upload. Need due-date tracking instead? Try the companion tracker.
How This Works & Assumptions
How it works
Enter one machine at a time and add it to the register. Each row captures the make, model, serial or fleet number, machine family, year, road registration if it's a truck-mounted unit, the date of the last periodic inspection, a free-text note on where the major inspection sits, and any general notes. The list builds up on the page as you go, and you can remove a row or clear the whole register whenever you like.
When the register is ready, export it to a CSV that opens straight in any spreadsheet, or use the print button for a clean paper copy or PDF. The major inspection status is a plain text field on purpose — majors fall due at five years or ten years depending on the equipment class, so the tool never assumes an interval; you record what you actually know about each machine.
Questions
How is this different from the Fleet Compliance Tracker? This generator builds the register document — the asset list itself, ready for a tender submission or an audit pack. The Fleet Compliance Tracker is the companion tool that takes inspection dates and works out what's due and when. Use this one to produce the register, and that one to stay on top of due dates.
Where does my data go? Nowhere. The register is held in the page while you work and is exported straight from your browser as a CSV or printed locally. Nothing is uploaded to us, and the list clears when you leave the page, so export a CSV if you want to keep it.
Is the CSV an approved compliance record? No. It's a working document you own and edit. It doesn't certify any machine or its inspection status — the definitive position comes from each machine's logbook and a qualified inspection. If you'd like the inspections carried out, call 0416 689 689.
