Bronto Skylift Inspections, Repairs & Major Inspections

Bronto Skylift builds large truck-mounted aerial platforms used for high-reach access on infrastructure, industrial and specialist work across Australia. These are substantial machines with long booms, sophisticated stability systems and heavy outrigger loadings, and as an independent specialist we keep them safe and compliant through inspection, repair, NDT and major inspection.

We are not a Bronto Skylift dealer or authorised service agent, and we will not imply otherwise. High-reach platforms demand careful, methodical assessment of the boom structure, cage systems and stability controls, and our impartial work to the Australian Standards is built around exactly that. A machine of this scale is only as safe as its last honest inspection.

What We Do

Bronto Skylift Capabilities

EWP Australia is an independent specialist — not a dealership. These are the Bronto Skylift services we coordinate nationally.

Periodic & annual inspections

Bronto Skylift truck-mounted platforms inspected to AS 2550.10, covering boom structure, hydraulics, outriggers, stability systems and controls, with logbook records.

Ten-year major inspections

We coordinate the strip-down, structural assessment and recertification Bronto Skylift plant is due for at the ten-year point under the AS 2550.10 framework.

NDT & load testing

Crack testing of the long boom sections, pins and welds, plus load and stability testing to confirm a high-reach unit still performs to its rated safe working load.

Repairs & scheduled servicing

Independent hydraulic, mechanical and electrical repairs on Bronto Skylift equipment, backed by scheduled maintenance to keep large platforms dependable.

Certification & engineering support

We certify units back into service and can coordinate engineering assessment where a high-reach machine's history or a repair calls for it.

Equipment

Bronto Skylift Ranges We See

  • High-reach truck-mounted platforms

Large aerial platforms mounted on heavy truck chassis for tall-building, infrastructure and industrial access.

  • Articulating high-reach booms

Multi-section booms combining reach with up-and-over articulation for complex high-level access.

  • Cage and jib systems

Working cages, jibs and levelling systems that position crews accurately at extreme height.

  • Outrigger and stability platforms

Wide-set outrigger systems and stability controls that keep a large high-reach machine safe through its working envelope.

Inspection & Service Notes

  • Long multi-section booms concentrate stress at the pivots, slide surfaces and welds, so these are inspected and NDT-tested closely as part of any major inspection.
  • Heavy outrigger loadings mean the outrigger legs, foot pads, ground-bearing arrangements and stability interlocks are assessed carefully before work at height.
  • Cage levelling, jib articulation and the associated control and sensing systems are checked so crews are positioned safely through the full envelope.
  • The sub-frame and interface between the platform and its host chassis are assessed as part of a truck-mounted inspection, given the scale of these machines.
FAQs

Common Questions

Are you a Bronto Skylift dealer or authorised service agent?

No. We are an independent EWP specialist. We inspect, service, repair, load-test and certify Bronto Skylift equipment, but we hold no dealership or authorised-agent status. That keeps our condition reporting impartial.

Can you inspect a high-reach Bronto Skylift platform?

Yes. We inspect Bronto Skylift platforms to AS 2550.10, covering the long boom, outriggers, stability systems and chassis interface, with everything recorded in the logbook.

Do you handle Bronto Skylift 10-year major inspections?

Yes. When a Bronto Skylift platform reaches ten years we coordinate the strip-down, NDT and recertification required under the AS 2550.10 framework and can plan the downtime around your operation.

Can you carry out NDT on the long booms?

Yes. We crack-test the boom sections, pins and welds on high-reach Bronto Skylift machines, which is a core part of major inspections and of assessing a unit after a fault or repair.
