Cherry Picker Hire

When your crew needs reliable elevated access, a cherry picker gets people and tools safely to height without the setup of scaffolding. EWP Australia coordinates cherry picker hire nationally, matching the right platform to your task, site conditions and access constraints.

Every unit we put to work is maintained and inspected to the relevant Australian Standards, so you get equipment that turns up ready to use and stays compliant on site. One enquiry covers selection, delivery logistics and the paperwork your safety systems expect.

How It Works

The Process

01

Tell us the task

Describe the work, the height you need to reach, ground conditions and any access limits, and we recommend a suitable machine.

02

Confirm & schedule

We lock in the unit, arrange delivery logistics and confirm the compliance documentation that travels with it.

03

Work & return

Use the cherry picker for the hire period, then we coordinate collection or extension as your job dictates.

Compliance & Standards

Cherry pickers we supply for hire are designed to AS/NZS 1418.10 and maintained and inspected under AS 2550.10, which covers safe use, servicing and the periodic inspection regime for elevating work platforms. Hire units carry current inspection records so your site records stay complete.

FAQs

Common Questions

What is the difference between a cherry picker and a boom lift?

The terms overlap heavily — 'cherry picker' is the common name for a boom-type EWP, often a truck-mounted or trailer unit used for maintenance access. If your task needs a larger self-propelled articulating or telescopic machine, a dedicated boom lift may suit better.

Do I need a licence to operate a cherry picker?

Operators must be trained and competent for the platform they use, and boom-type EWPs with a boom length of 11 metres or more require a high risk work licence in Australia. Tell us the height you need and we can help you match the machine to your crew's tickets.

Can you deliver the cherry picker to my site?

Yes. We coordinate delivery logistics as part of the hire so the unit arrives ready for work. Give us your site address and access details when you enquire.

Is the hire unit inspected and compliant?

Every cherry picker we supply is maintained and inspected under AS 2550.10 and comes with current records. You can put it to work knowing your compliance paperwork is in order.
