4. COMPLIANCE AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS
4.1 Current periodic / annual inspection reports
Supplier to provide a current periodic (annual) inspection report for each unit, dated and signed by a competent person, prior to or on delivery. Reports to remain valid for the term of any resulting engagement.
4.2 Major inspection status disclosure
Supplier to disclose the major inspection status of each unit. Major inspections fall due at five years or ten years depending on the equipment class, so the supplier is to state the class, the date the last major was completed (if any) and when the next is due for each unit offered.
4.3 Up-to-date logbook per machine
Each unit to be supplied with an up-to-date logbook recording inspections, servicing, repairs and faults, available for inspection on request throughout the engagement.
4.4 Operator licensing / verification of competency
Where operators are supplied, the supplier is to provide evidence of the relevant operator licensing and verification of competency for the machine type offered. Where the the buyer operates the units, the supplier is to confirm the licensing category applicable to the machine.
4.5 Evidence of current insurance
Supplier to provide certificates of currency for public liability and any other insurances required by the the buyer, covering the units and, where applicable, the operators, for the term of the engagement.
4.6 Legible data / compliance plate and operator manual
Each unit to carry a legible manufacturer's data / compliance plate and to be supplied with the operator's manual. Rated capacities and identification are to be verifiable from the plate.
4.7 Delivery, collection and site induction
Supplier to state delivery and collection arrangements and to comply with the the buyer's site induction, access and inspection requirements. Any pre-start and hand-over procedures are to be confirmed in writing.
4.8 Reference to applicable Australian Standards
Units are to be designed, maintained and used in accordance with the applicable Australian Standards for elevated work platforms, including AS/NZS 1418.10 and AS 2550.10 as relevant to the equipment offered. Suppliers are to confirm compliance without reliance on any specific clause reference in this brief.
